About the Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Coach serving clients all over the world. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh and earned my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. In addition to my degrees I have specialized training in mindfulness, cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, and sandplay.

I work from a holistic perspective, which incorporates physical, mental, and social wellbeing. I note the importance of complementary treatments alongside counseling services to achieve the best version of self.

I work with a wide range of emotional issues including, but not limited to: Sexual Health, Codependency, Relationship Challenges, Men’s Issues, Veteran’s Issues, Post-Traumatic Stress, Anger Management. I recognize the interconnection of these different areas as a vital part of living a full life, and as a part of addressing roots of interpersonal issues. I am passionate about helping others achieve their own personal goals through collaboration and support.

Standard rates are $250.00 per hour of service. I accept insurances through Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and BC/BS out-of-state equivalents, Optum, United Healthcare, Cigna, and UPMC. I am partnered with the Camaraderie Foundation to offer no-cost counseling to veterans who meet scholarship requirements, and through Pineapple Support to offer reduced rate counseling to entertainment workers.

In-Home Counseling rates are $350.00 per 90 minute session. All In-Home costs are out of pocket.

In an effort to elevate the quality of care I provide to clients, I offer 360-degree collaborative care for all of my clients, at no additional fee.Ideally, your health care providers stay in touch to ensure that you are getting the best wrap-around care possible. For example, if we are noticing a decline in your mood, it’s worthwhile for your trusted health care providers to discuss all potential contributors - physical and/or mental that could be contributing to your mood.

We know that issues with the thyroid, the pituitary, or even simple hormone dysregulation during the month, can explain some mood symptoms - at least in part.  We also know that mental health issues and life stressors can take a toll on the body.  I’m able to communicate (to whatever degree you are comfortable with) when life stressors may be impacting things that your medical providers might want to track.

I would, of course, only disclose what you and I agree to ahead of time. Some types of providers clients share with me include:

  • General physicians

  • Gynecologists

  • Health Coaches

  • Nutritionists

  • Endocrinologists

  • Chiropractors

  • Masseurs

  • Psychiatrists

  • Nurse Practitioners

These are quick consultations, meant to support your overall well-being.  They typically occur no more than a few times a year and often via fax.
